Our Core Commitments
Here’s how learning will come to life at
Imago Dei Neighborhood School
Academic
Excellence
Imago Dei will ensure kindergarten readiness through a thriving PreK program, and continue this commitment to excellence at each grade level. An integrative curriculum that inspires students to draw connections between subjects, with an intentional focus on strong literacy and math skills, will equip students to achieve their full potential through graduation and beyond.
Imago Dei teachers bring a wealth of classroom experience to the academic program. Art, music, PE, and Spanish are also offered weekly.
Racial & Economic
Diversity
Imago Dei’s educational model is rooted in the understanding that children are whole persons, each uniquely and beautifully reflecting their Creator. We seek to offer students a feast of ideas that accurately portray the diversity and wonder of God’s world and allow them to understand and flourish within it. Our variable tuition model offers families of all income levels a supportive learning environment; this year, 71% of families pay less than half of the cost-to-educate.
In 2023/24, our student body is 33% African-American, 36% white, 17% bi-racial, and 13% Hispanic. Our colorful student body beautifully reflects our Creator!
Strong Family
Partnerships
We believe parents hold a God-given role as their child’s first and best teachers. We will honor and reinforce this vital role through effective communication, helpful resources, continuing education, family events, and significant tuition support.
Family partnerships begin with a home visit prior to the start of school, and are reinforced with weekly school and class newsletters, parent-teacher conferences, and many Life Long Learning opportunities!
Lifelong Learning
No matter our age or season of life, we believe every member of the Imago Dei community is designed to delight in the wonder of the natural world, the joy of creative expression, and the excitement of engaging new ideas. We intentionally design our classrooms, curriculum, and family programs to promote lifelong learning.
Each month, we offer parents and grandparents an opportunity to fellowship and grow together through our Life Long Learning series.
Community
Partnerships
Imago Dei works in connection with the long-standing and well-respected groups that have been integral in the lives of our neighbors. We are committed to supporting local businesses as vendor partners, participating in festivals and community events, and collaborating with nonprofits and churches to serve our families.
